These "nature intensive" camping programs take place in tents on the north ridge of the camp property. These age-specific "green scene" programs allow campers to study God and His creation in the natural surroundings "up close and personal." Campers will learn many camping skills and will do some outdoor cooking. Bible studies and nature studies round out these especially FUN camping experiences. Base camp activities are also a part of the camp experience for these "green" campers.
Camp Age by Grade Completed: 3-5 (On the Edge 1), 5-8 (On the Edge 2), 9-12 (On the Edge 3)
These platform tent camping experiences on the mountainside is for campers who like the outdoors but don’t really want to rough it. These camp programs are age-specific. Large wall tents and cots make this an enjoyable time in the woods. Meals and free time activities are still enjoyed in base camp.
Camp Age by Grade Completed: 1 (or first time 2nd graders)
This half-week camp is planned as an introduction to summer camping. Campers must have completed the first grade the year of attending camp or finished second grade and not yet attended summer camp in order to qualify for this camp. This is a great way to introduce your young child to a FUN sleep-away camp experience. This mini-week camp begins with registration at 7:00 PM on Wednesday evening and ends at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning. Exciting growing activities will keep them busy.
A three-day camping experience is specially planned for fathers and sons (grandfathers and grandsons) to grow. Fathers ‘n’ Sons stay in a cabin together and meals are served in the dining hall. The program begins with registration Sunday afternoon and ends at 10:00 AM Wednesday morning. This is a special time for fathers and sons to play games, hike, study the Bible and do much more together among God's beautiful creation.
